This helps you to develop a tight turning circle on the bike while cornering, as well as repeated sprints from a near standing start, which are great for tight city centre type criterium racing as seen in events such as the Nocturne Series races. If you’re unable to find a suitable circuit to practice your cornering on, an alternative is to use a quiet road and practice sprinting before turning in the road (don’t put your foot down!) and sprinting hard again immediately.
